About Australasian Special Events
Australasian Special Events (ASE) was launched in 2000 and was the first online publication dedicated to the event industry in Australia.
Over the past decade ASE publisher Trevor Connell has drawn on his extensive range of contacts, from more than 20 years in the event industry, to get the behind the scenes stories of the big events including the Sydney Olympics, Centenary of Federation and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. These big events are included along with many other corporate and public events.
Trevor was a founding member of the Australian chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) and served on the chapter executive for six years. Trevor continues to be involved in ISES activities along with those of Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) and regularly reports on industry conferences and events.
The website
By embracing web 2.0 technology the site is designed to facilitate interaction by our readers and promotion for advertisers. Innovations include auto tweeting, LinkedIn and Facebook updates of all published articles.

Importantly you will be linked from mentions of your company in ASE editorial coverage; e.g. when we publish an event review we include a production credit list and companies listed in the directory will be linked to their directory entry.

Banner and Button Spots
The banner appears at the head of all pages and changes regularly. This is a premium service with a limited number of spots available.
A limited number of buttons will appear at the sidebar of each page.
Banners and buttons are linked to your directory entry or can be a direct link to a web page.
Marketplace
The Marketplace is designed for you to get your message out in an advertorial style. Advertorials will include links to your directory listing (if you have one) and tags so it will be picked up in searches and other linked articles.
We also provide a copywriting service for the Marketplace at additional cost.
