The award winning Heritage Queenstown has always been ‘somewhere special’ and now with its major refurbishment upgrade set to start, it will be even better.
Beginning in September the forest wing will be the first to have the magic makeover, followed by the lake side wing and finishing with the waterfall wing. The extensive refurbishment of all accommodation rooms will be contained to a wing at a time so not to impact in house guests and the hotel’s villas will remain operational the entire time.
“We know we offer one of the best alpine settings for a conference and have a state of the art conference centre, so we are very excited to have fresh new rooms and suites to complement the experience,” says Carey Norton, general manager of Heritage Queenstown.
The example rooms have been operational for the past weeks and selected guests have been asked to test out the new services and decor, and comments have been extremely favourable, according to Carey Norton.
“We have had conference organisers, journalists and important industry guests ‘test drive’ the rooms and suites, and have helped us refine the new décor plans, and the feedback has been very positive,” adds Carey.
Every deluxe room and suite in Heritage Queenstown will be transformed with new furniture, wall coverings, art work and entertainment systems.
The repainted and wallpapered rooms will offer a sophisticated ambience created by all new furniture, including sofas, tub chairs, desks with matching chairs, mirrors and beds.
The deluxe rooms, which are already among the largest of their type in Queenstown, will now be even more luxurious with sumptuous Tranquil Beds to ensure a wonderful night’s sleep, while the Suites will welcome guests to a restful evening with Super Plush beds.
Entertainment systems in all rooms have been given a significant upgrade with 40″ Samsung LED TVs in the deluxe rooms and 46″ LED TVs in the suites. The suite kitchen areas have also been refreshed with remodelled doors, drawers and floors.
The award winning Icon Conference Centre and its location above the lake is unbeatable and the mountain views breathtaking. Catering for up to 200 delegates the venue offers stunning views of Lake Wakatipu from the conference room and the roof top deck.
The facilities at Heritage Queenstown are fantastic for delegates after the conference day. There’s a spa, sauna, gymnasium, and a unique indoor/outdoor swimming pool where guests can swim all year round in comfort, even when surrounded by falling snow.
