55 Sydney EAs (Executive Assistants) & PAs( Personal Assistants) from leading corporate organisations, will experience some of the Hunter Valley’s leading meeting and conference product during a one day familiarisation this Saturday 5th May.
Hunter Valley Convention Bureau is co-hosting the visit with the Executive Assistant’s Network and Murray’s Coaches and is supported by leading conference operators – Cypress Lakes, Hunter Valley Events, Hunter Valley Gardens, Tuscany Wine Estate Resort and Hope Estate all of which will be showcased during the day.
“The corporate sector in Sydney is the source of by far and away the largest proportion of conference business in the Hunter Valley, accounting for around 60%, followed by the Hunter Region itself at around 20%” said Ruth Appleby, Business Tourism Marketing Manager at Hunter Valley Convention Bureau.
“EA’s/PA’s are considered to be a very influential link in the decision-making process as to destinations for meetings, conferences and events. This familiarisation tour is an excellent opportunity for the conference sector of the Hunter Valley to establish itself as ‘front of mind’ when they are next looking for a location for their organisation’s events.”
The day will consist of tours of Cypress Lakes, Hunter Valley Gardens, Hope Estate and will include a winemaker’s lunch at Tuscany Wine Estate’s ’ Mill Restaurant’. During the day the visitors will also be led through some examples of team challenge activities by Hunter Valley Events, that can be included in their conference programmes – including a series of ‘Wine Games’ such as grape stomping & wine blending.
The hosting of this familiarisation tour has been made possible through funding support from the NSW Government through Destination NSW and its Demand Building Funding programme and the support of the Hunter Valley operators and suppliers hosting the group.
